Inspired by Coco Chanel’s iconic tweed jacket this grandeur sterling silver pendant has a bronze tweed textured patch with purple and blue paint strokes woven across. The finishing touch is a charismatic imitation sapphire!
Chanel’s love of tweed is an interesting tale. In the 1920’s Chanel was fascinated with her lover, the Duke of Westminster's coarse tweed hunting jacket. In 1954 she launched her first tweed jacket for the fairer sex in retaliation to the girly girl look of the 50’s. Chanel’s philosophy on design was to encourage women to stand in their own power. We concur.
